![]() Both before and after all this uninstalling and reinstalling the result is exactly the same. I have followed all the instructions for a clean uninstall ( ) and the more extreme version of uninstalling every single Autodesk application found here (. I know where the should be (I keep being told), everywhere the number should be just keeps telling me to sign in which I can't do because I need a number.I have an educational serial number for Maya 2018 but every time I click on the " Enter a Serial Number" on the middle button in the splash screen that appears (when launching via the desktop Maya 2018 shortcut or Autodesk Desktop App) the splash screen closes, the Maya Output Window appears for a split second with an error message that I could only grab with a well timed screenshot (" maya : Autodesk Maya 2018Licensing ErrorA licensing error occurred that Autodesk systems were not able to handle"), and then disappears. I've attached screenshots showing I have no serial number as Autodesk support keeps pointing to where serial numbers should be despite me telling them I was never given one. I can't help but express annoyance that now I have to wait for someone on the internet to responded to me when this could have been avoided if serial numbers were given regardless of whether an online Id works (I hate having to rely on the internet to verify things). The problem is I never got one as where the serial number should be it tells me to sign in when I'm in Maya (I was on the student version prior so I know how to sign in) but I can't sign into Maya because Maya won't open without a serial number which I was never given because apparently I just need my Autodesk ID to use my license. I just got a subscription for Maya 2018 and downloaded it but before it lets me do anything, I need to enter a serial number.
